Teeth Whitening

Your smile is important, It's one of the first things people notice about you

Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth; many of the things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking.

Why whiten your teeth?

  • The first and most important benefit of teeth whitening is that it improves one's look.
  • People who have white teeth tend to smile more often and this in turn helps boost self confidence.
  • A smile that is white and bright tends to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face.
  • At your work place, a whiter smile gives people to whom you are speaking a place to focus on & give you a friendlier ambiance and appearance.
  • For those special occasions such as, holidays, job interviews, weddings, important meetings or just because you want to look great.
  • Not only will a whiter smile boost your confidence, help you to look and feel years younger, but it’s also beneficial to your oral health too.

Teeth Whitening Options

At home

Your dentist will make a custom-fitted mouth guard for you that will fit your teeth precisely. Treatment usually takes 5 -10 days, using the mouth guard to apply the whitening gel for 30 minutes to one hour at a time.

Chair-side at the surgery

During chair-side whitening, the dentist will apply either a protective gel to your gums or a rubber shield to protect the oral soft tissues. A bleaching agent is then applied to the teeth, and a special light may be used to enhance the action of the agent

Whitening toothpastes

Whitening toothpastes differ from bleaching because they do not permanently alter the colour of the teeth, they simply contain polishing agents that remove deeper stains from the teeth than regular toothpaste.
