Dental Check-ups

By attending regular Dental Check-ups at one of our Active Smile Dental Surgeries you can be reassured that your teeth and mouth are in the best possible condition.

Regular Dental Check Ups are important as it allows any problems to be detected and treated before they cause any permanent damage to your teeth and mouth. You will also receive advice on the best things to do to ensure that your mouth is in the best possible condition.

As part of your Dental Check-up our dentists will examine your teeth, gums and may take several small X-rays. Should you require further dental treatment, our dentists will discuss with you treatment options and costs.

How often should I visit my Dentist?

Your dentist will advise you how often they would like to see you for a dental check-up, typically this will be every 6 months, however if you have good oral health they may recommend that you only need to attend every 9 – 12 months.

How much does a dental check-up cost?

As a guideline, the fee for a standard dental check-up is, NHS & Independent treatment £17.00 or Private treatment £25.00
